The aim of the project is to prepare data on the development of the situation and trends in the consumption of wood biomass in energy production in Latvia in the period from 2020 to 2024, to identify the impact of new investment projects on the consumption of wood biomass in the transformation sector and to prepare a forecast of energy wood consumption levels in 2025-2030, as well as to assess changes in the availability of energy wood from 2025 to 2030.
Research project implementation period: from 1 May 2025 to 30 December 2025.
The research project is financed with state support for the development of the forest sector from the Forest Development Fund.
