Reaction To Fire Testing sector of the Testing Laboratory performs reaction to fire testing of construction products according to the European (EN) standards and classification according to the standard EN 13501-1.
Reaction-to-fire measures the contribution of a material or system to fire, particularly at the early stages when this is crucial to the safe evacuation of a building or transport system.
Reaction To Fire sector accomplishes all required tests for classification of different material fire reactions in the following fire reaction classes – A2; B; C; D; and E.
The staff of the testing laboratory upgrades qualifications by attending appropriate courses, and seminars both in Latvia and abroad as well as organizing proficiency testing within the frame of the fire reaction testing sector.
The Testing Laboratory is a member of EGOLF (European Group of Organizations for Fire Testing, Inspection and Certification) www.egolf.global which provides the harmonized approach of rendered testing services and classification of materials.
