29. In May, the “Zābaki” seedling nursery of JSC “Latvijas Finieris” was solemnly opened in Sigulda region – the first complex of wooden buildings of this scale, which combines the principles of sustainable forestry and innovative wooden construction.
Forest and Wood Products Research and Development Institute (MeKA) participated in the creation of this project as a research partner – providing scientific support and solutions that contribute to the full use of wood potential and sustainable development.
We thank AS “Latvijas Finieris” for the trust and successful cooperation during the entire project, as well as for the opportunity to participate in this important step in the development of the Latvian forest industry.
