MeKA participates in the HOUTBOUW 2026 exhibition in the Netherlands

This week, the head of the MeKA Research Center, Edvīns Grants, together with the Latvian delegation, industry professionals and companies operating in the wooden construction sector, participated in the exhibition HOUTBOUW 2026 in the Netherlands.

The exhibition and its discussion program brought together experts from various European countries to share experiences and discuss the future of wooden construction and sustainable construction solutions. During the event, MeKA representatives presented current research directions, work on the development of wooden construction, as well as the importance of wood products in long-term climate neutrality and construction development strategies.

Participation in HOUTBOUW 2026 provided an opportunity to strengthen international cooperation, exchange experience with industry representatives and present Latvia’s competence in the fields of wooden construction, testing and product development.

We are happy to be part of an industry that combines innovation, sustainability and strong production traditions, while creating new opportunities for cooperation in international markets
