On 15 September, a delegation from the Malaysian Timber Council (MTC Europe), accompanied by the Latvian Forest Industry Federation (LKF), visited MeKA in Jelgava.
The guests included:
• Mr Gopinathan Tanikudy – Head of Region, MTC Europe;
• Ms Zayhra Erasmus – Marketing Executive, MTC Europe;
• Artūrs Bukonts – Executive Director, Latvian Forest Industry Federation.
The delegation was welcomed by a team of MeKA specialists.
During the meeting, we introduced the guests to MeKA’s activities, areas of expertise and services. The guests visited our mechanical testing and furniture testing laboratories, where they learned about the available equipment, testing capabilities and the work of our specialists.
Throughout the visit, we shared our experience and discussed current developments in the timber industry. We would like to thank the representatives of the Malaysian Timber Council and the Latvian Forest Industry Federation for their visit, interest and valuable exchange of ideas!
